The ISA cross-country team, and their explosive start to the beginning the season!

By Zoe Imes

Over the weekend of September 26-27,

ISA’s cross-country team attended their first meet of the year, which was hosted in Luxembourg.

The meet was a huge success with ISA students. Here are some highlights:

  • Lydia placed 3rd for U12 girls

  • Senna placed 1st for U16 girls,

  • Johan and Val placed 2nd and 3rd for U16 boys.

Although ISA has taken this course before, it has been revised this year, and as a result, each first-place runner has set a course record.

So congratulations to Senna, who set a course record for 23.05 seconds!

ISA had unmatched team spirit this year.

Each runner passed fellow teammates, cheering them along. This was fantastic to see, and it is crucial in a sport like this. Where your spirit and mentality can either make or break your race!

A big thanks from us to the excellent coaches for their fantastic training. And for organizing this event for the 27 students who came.

Thank you, Erwin, Ingrid, Job, Lex, and Jess!
