It’s International Counselor Week!
Every day, our Counselors have meetings with ISA students to support them in their journey, at school, and in preparation for what comes after. They provide spaces for safety, assist with the process of applying for universities, and offer continuous help which we are very grateful for. The Voice wants to acknowledge all of their commitment and hard work, especially in making students feel heard and protected.
The counselors are a large part of what makes ISA the safe environment that it is, and we are very appreciative of the opportunities they give us, as well as their consistent positive energy.

“I’ve had several experiences in which one of the counselors brightened my day. I am especially thankful for their positive attitude and all of the effort they put into their workshops.”
“I have learned a lot from the sessions we had with the counselors, and I think that what they are doing is really important and necessary for a comfortable and welcoming environment at ISA.”
“Thank you for all of your help with university-related things. Sometimes it can be a bit overwhelming to manage these things on top of school work, and I am extremely grateful to have someone I can turn to when I have questions or I need advice.”
“The counselors create such a calming space, and it is good to know that there is always someone you can talk to when you are not feeling well.”
“I really like how the counselors always emphasise our mental health. They always remind me to look out for myself, for example by making sure that I get enough sleep, which sometimes can be something you lose track of. Thank you so much!”
